CRMK World Cup Hijack!!! all the facts

Dear Scratchers,

Big thanks to DJ Hug(h)ie Hugh for another thoroughly enjoyable night, where, as ever, his plans were completely scuppered by The Scratch's strong arm tactical force.
Everyone in the World was anticipating our much publicised England v USA World Cup cracker of a show... except Hugh... (bless)...

One of the beauties of CRMK.co.uk and particularly Hugh's 'Eclectic Plectrum' show is the immediacy, being as low-tech as you can be, while still broadcasting, gives the evening an extra 'Live' exciting quality, that you don't get from a podcast or listen again style 'modern' experience... and also it covers up beautifully for the fo-pahs, slander and general playing of the wrong tracks... but sod that, John Peel made a career of it (god rest his soul!)

Apart from finding out about John's brothers book of NME albums of the year 1976, (with special 'sleeve notes' from his older brother etched in pen alongside the titles), Hugh's mates who were getting married (Katy and Ross?... I made that up)... who he forgot to mention... (another hazard of too much chat... is you forget what you've said on air!)... the elusive Brighton interview... (Don't worry Jord RR, it's all still on his ipod!)... and Hugh's non comprehension of the England v USA 'only' - bands and tracks...

There was of course and always will be the star of the show. The music...
