Birthday cheers and loads more beers - The Queens' Head Box

2 gigs in 2 days, yeah baby! ... Despite feeling understandably cream crackered after the excursions and uber late night on the Stella’s at The Horn... The Scratch returned to the Queens Head in Box, slightly mellower than on Friday night, but none the less focused, indeed... resplendent in the requested fancy dress for the Baron's birthday bash, Andy as Edward Scissor hands, Grim as a Teddy Boy, John as Indian man and birthday boy as a Rear Admiral... Saturday night saw the first performances of two soon to be staples. The Sleazy Glam groove of Freakshow, that instantly got the previously shy crowd up and bopping and the more straight ahead, You want the World, 2 and a half minutes of Devo meets the Undertones. These 2 gig get together's not only allow vast quantities of alcohol to be consumed, they also re-enforce the unity and versatility of the band. Let's just hope it can be carried triumphantly into next week and In the City beyond! Where the unbelievers will surely be converted to the cause!

xx
